Wire Sculptures

Northumberland Residential

Designing and making wire sculptures inspired by the artist Alberto Giacometti.

Wet but wonderful! Years 5 and 6 had a fantastic trip to Northumberland. They learnt all about the history and geography of the local area and visited many sites to help deepen their knowledge. 

Art Competition

Congratulations to our competition winners. These children designed a front cover for the Otley Carnival brochure. They all did so well with two children winning their age group and one winning the overall competition. The winning design will be used on this year's Otley Carnival booklet. 

Making our own food

Learning about electricity

In design technology this term, the children have enjoyed designing, making and evaluating their own food products thinking carefully about a balanced diet and the nutrition of their savoury dish.

Class 5 have enjoyed investigating electricity in Science. The have worked collaboratively to create a range of different circuits.


This half term in PE, Key Stage 2 children have worked well to refine their fencing skills and develop their understanding of the rules.

Young Voices

The children thoroughly enjoyed singing together in the Young Voices performance this year. 

Remembrance Poppies made by Class 5 for the Otley Poppy Appeal

The children were delighted to be asked to create remembrance poppies for the All Saints Church in Otley. These have been arrange into an eye catching corner display in the churchyard.

Bridge prototypes

In design technology the children learned how to design, make and evaluate their models of a different bridge structures.
