We are delighted and proud to share with you the news that, according to the Telegraph Best Primary Schools League Table—we are the fourth best primary school in the whole country! We scored the maximum 40/40 using their criteria of measuring key academic, behavioural and organisational performance.

On Tuesday, a team from Yorkshire Water came into school to talk to the children about water safety, the water cycle and how to be responsible for their own water usage.
We are greatly looking forward to our book fair next week, from Monday 29th September to Thursday 2nd October 3.15-4pm in the school hall. A wide variety of books will be available to buy via card payments. A reminder about the Phonics and Reading Information Event taking place on Tuesday 30th September, at 3.45pm in the school hall or online at 6.30pm. This event will be relevant for all parents of children from
Reception upto year 6. Please register for the 6.30pm event by emailing askwith@ycatschools.co.uk so we can
send you out a link.
The first of the races in the Wharfedale Cross Country Primary School League is on Saturday 4th October at Ilkley Rugby Club. See attached for details. If your child would like to take part, please email askwith@ycatschools.co.uk by midday Wednesday 1st October with your child’s name and the name and contact phone number of the accompanying parent.
There will be a Bags 2 School collection on Wednesday 8th October. Bags were sent home on Tuesday, but any bag can be used to donate good quality second hand clothing. Please note: school uniform, towels, bedding and curtains cannot be donated through this scheme. Please leave the bags outside the village hall on 8th October by 9am. Please do not bring the bags into school.
