This week, all children have been enjoying our International Arts and Diversity week! Class 1 have been using chalk, collage and paint to recreate the work of Lebanese artist Etel Adnan’s beautiful, pastel landscape art.
They have discussed how different paintings make them feel. Class 2 have been layering and scraping with paint and crayons, inspired by the work of Howardena Pindell. They have also explored creating clay tiles and clay pots. Class 3 have studied the Brazilian artist Beatrice Milhazes to create vibrant pieces using collage and paint. Finally, Class 4, has used the work of Turkish artist Hülya Ozdemir as the inspiration for their A3 mixed media piece.
The art work the children have created this week will form part of the exhibitions taking place on 25th June and 2nd July in the school hall from 3pm. All welcome!
