5th September 2024

A reminder that, as detailed in the last newsletter, earrings must not be worn to school on any day from September.

Thank you to all those parents who have been using the new Clubs module on Parent Pay to make bookings for breakfast club and after school clubs. From feedback received, it is an easy system to use but if you have any problems, please email askwith@ycatschools.co.uk. Please note, after school club is available to book until 6pm Monday to Thursday but we only have staff available until 5pm on Fridays. A further copy of the clubs taking place this half term is attached. If your child wishes to attend any of the sports, drama clubs or other special clubs, please just book ‘after school club’.

All new parents should now have received their Parent Pay log in details so can start to book clubs online. Where applicable, charges for school lunches and extra nursery sessions will be added soon. Please check your account at least monthly and pay for any items due.

In a further administrative change, permission for swimming (and class trips later in the year) will now be done online through Parent Pay. No more paper slips to lose! Thank you to the year 5 and 6 parents who have already used this system to give permission for swimming lessons which commence on Monday 9th September.

The school menu has not changed from last term and all choices have been rolled forward. We will change to the ‘winter menu’ at October half term. Information to follow.

Please see attached ‘Dates for your Diary’ for this term, which includes dates for all parents to access curriculum evenings and parents evenings. Also included are the dates for the Harvest assemblies, Infant Nativity, KS2 Pantomime and PTA events! Other dates will be added when plans are finalised.

Please see attached a copy of the term dates for this school year. A copy is also on our website. Please can I draw your attention to the training day on Monday 24th February.

Please can you remind anyone who drops off or collects your child from school of the timings.

Years Drop off  Pick up
N, R, 1 & 2 8.30-8.45 3.15-3.30
3, 4, 5 & 6 8.45-9.00 3.30-3.45

Children benefit from arriving at school promptly as activities and work commence as soon as the children arrive. If you have children in both groups, please drop off at the earlier time and pick up at the later time. As always, please park with consideration for the local residents and leave promptly to free up car park spaces for other parents.

Finally, please can children have PE kits (including trainers or pumps to change into) in school every day. Nursery children do not need a PE kit.
