Your conteI hope you all had an enjoyable break over Easter!
Please see attached an updated copy of the Dates for your Diary for this summer term. Please note new date for the PTA Glow in the Dark Disco—Friday 15th May. (Paper copies were sent home before Easter and an e-copy was emailed out on Tuesday morning.)
Alongside the class trips and events for the whole family, the summer term is also a busy time for assessments. Information about the different assessments was emailed out to the relevant parents earlier today.
Year 1—Phonics Screening Check; year 2 –Key Stage 1 National Curriculum Tests; year 4—Multiplication Tables Check and year 6—Key Stage 2 National Curriculum Tests.
If you have any questions about these assessments, please ask your child’s teacher.
Also see attached details of the clubs taking place this half term.
Following last year’s success, the PTA are excited to be repeating the ‘Grow a £1’ challenge’! A reminder of the guidelines will be sent home next week, but feel free to start discussing with your child how they might grow their £1!
A reminder that children should not be taken out of school during term time for holidays except in exceptional circumstances. See attached a letter that I shared with you last year about the importance of good attendance and the Fixed Penalty Notices that may be applied if unauthorised leave is taken.
