A message for all parents with children in years nursery, reception, year 1 and 2—from tomorrow, please can children be escorted by parents to enter school through the classroom doors at the back of school. The children will know which way to go and staff will be on hand for the first few days. Children arriving on the buses will be supervised as they go to the classroom doors. A reminder that children in years nursery, reception, years 1 and 2 should please be dropped off between 8.30-8.45am. Learning commences from 8.45am. Please pass this message onto any friends or family who may help with drop off in a morning.
Collection of children at the end of the day will continue to be from the junior playground.

Children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have once again been invited to apply to be an ‘Otley Star!’ The successful nominees will have the opportunity to contribute to voluntary events and initiatives in the local community, raise awareness of Equality & Diversity, Health & Wellbeing, Environment and Community in school and be on the Otley Stars float during the carnival procession. Last year, a number of our children who applied were successful in being Otley Stars. The children have received more information about being an Otley Star in an assembly. See attached a poster, letter and application form. Applications on line are preferred but paper forms are available from the school office. The deadline to apply is Friday 7th March.
A reminder that we close for half term on Friday 14th February at the usual times and reopen for the children on Tuesday 25th February.
