Well done to Thomas, Mason and Henry who came third as a team in the cross country race last Saturday! A further well done to Thomas who came first in the year 4 boys’ race. Good luck to all those taking part in this Saturday’s race!
On Tuesday, nursery and reception parents were invited into school to join in a ‘Come and Play’ session. The parents learnt about the latest research into the importance of playing and speaking to your child, then enjoyed using the provision in the classroom with the guidance of their child.
Parents’ Evenings, for parents of all children from nursery to year 6, will take place via online video call on Wednesday and Thursday next week. A letter about how to book your online video appointment was sent out via email on Monday, further copy attached. The booking system is currently open, allowing parents to book or amend an appointment themselves. If you need help booking your appointment, please contact Mrs Bentley.

School lunches—We understand that occasionally a child may forget a packed lunch and need a school lunch, or want to change a meal choice. We will always try to accommodate these requests, but please be aware that the food ordering is only done once per week and only sufficient supplies for the pre-orders are bought and in some cases preparation of food is made the day before. With this in mind, please be aware that late (less than a week) changes to meal choices may not always be possible and if a child forgets a packed lunch, they may not be able to choose.
Thank you to all those parents in years 1 to 6 who have already returned the data check sheets. A response is please needed from every family, either a corrected form returned to school, or an email to confirm that all the information is correct. Texts were sent out yesterday to parents we have not yet heard from. Please contact the office if you have misplaced the data sheet for your child.
Please see attached a further copy of the letter containing information about the opportunity for children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 to be an ‘Otley Star!’ Applications via the online form are preferred, the link to the online form is on the letter. Paper applications are also possible and forms are available from the office.
