Leaflets from Tempest Photography were sent home on Friday 24th October containing all the information you need to order photographs. Please place orders online by Sunday 9th to benefit from free delivery via school. If you need any assistance in ordering your photos, please contact Tempest on 01736 751555.
Order forms have been sent home this week containing your individual code to order Christmas cards and other items featuring your child’s art work. See attached flyer with images of all the items available.
The postponed ‘Come & Play’ for parents of children in nursery and reception will now take place on Tuesday 11th November from 2.30pm. During this event you will see and experience EYFS in action with an opportunity to discuss with Miss Brierley the importance of high quality interactions and play at home and in school. All invited, no need to book.
Friday 14th November is Children in Need Day. To support this wonderful charity, we will be holding a bake sale. Home made and shop bought cakes / buns / tray bakes can please be brought to school on the day and will be sold for 30p each at break times to the children. Any remaining cake will be sold at the end of the day.
Friday 14th November also marks the end of Anti-bullying week and our Odd Socks Day. Children are invited to come to school in odd socks on Friday 14th November to highlight the importance of kindness and respect
for differences and that bullying is never acceptable at our school.
Worksharing is taking place on Friday 14th November for parents of children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Parents are invited to come into school 9.15-9.45am or 2.30-3.15pm for an opportunity to look at your child’s books with them in the school hall. No need to book. Please sign in at the school hall when you arrive. (Please note, parents of children in year 6 will need to come in the afternoon as year 6 will be out at a Pantomime rehearsal in the morning.)
New date for your diaries—Otley Victorian Fayre Sunday 7th December. Once again, the PTA have made plans to have a stall at the Victorian Fayre in Otley. Please see attached information about the fayre, the home clothes day on Friday 21st November and how to get involved. If you are able to help on the stall, please email askwith@ycatschools.co.uk with your preferred time slot. Thank you for your support.
A reminder to parents of children in nursery that the application process for applying for a school place in September has started. If you would like a tour of the school and a chat with myself, please get in touch or come along to the Open Day, 2-5pm Tuesday 18th November.
Bookings are now being taken for our nursery from September 2026. If you have a younger child who will be 3 years old by September, please get in touch with Mrs Bentley as places in our nursery are limited.
