24th April 2025

I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter break.
Unfortunately, due to the low numbers that have signed up, we are not going to take part in the Ilkley and Otley Carnival Parades this year. We will be seeking parents views on involvement in community events in the future to best use the valuable time of the PTA volunteers. If you made a donation to the PTA for the parades and would like a refund, please email askwith@ycatschools.co.uk and a refund can be arranged.
Please see attached ‘Dates for your Diary’ for this term, including events for all the children and opportunities for parents to come into school. Further details about these events will be sent out nearer to the time, but please ask if you have any questions.
Please also find attached a further copy of clubs taking place this half term. Please book and pay for all after school clubs through Parent Pay.
This year, we have continued to enhance the music curriculum by funding group music lessons for all children.
The children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed group guitar lessons in the autumn and spring term. This term, the children in nursery, reception, years 1 and 2 will be enjoying group glockenspiel and singing lessons.
Please can I remind all parents about the suggested way to park in the village hall car park. See attached a sketch showing the way to maximise the number of spaces available. Please share this with other family members who may drop off or collect your children. Obviously, it is a very small car park and patience is
required as there is a chance of being blocked in. With this in mind, please adhere to the staggered drop off and collect times, as set out below, as this avoids all parents arriving at the same time. If you have children in both groups, please drop off at the earlier time and collect at the later time. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Years Drop off Collect
N, R, 1 and 2 8.30-8.45am 3.15-3.30pm
3, 4, 5 and 6 8.45-9.00am 3.30-3.45pm

A reminder that breakfast club is available from 7.30am each morning and after school club is available until 6pm Monday to Thursday and 5pm on Fridays. See the attached flyer for information about bookings, times
and prices.
School transport is also available for those who live in catchment, information about eligibility is available on
the North Yorkshire website under education and learning / school and college transport.
