On Tuesday morning, Tempest took the class photographs. Letters will be sent home after half term to enable you to place orders.
Today, the children in year 6 have greatly enjoyed taking part in the Askwith Bake Off! Earlier in the week, in teams, they planned their creations and researched ingredients and recipes. Today, they have baked and decorated. They have been judged based on the following criteria: their design using this years theme of ‘a
film’; team work; cleanliness/tidying away after and taste. It was a close competition but the team ‘The HP’s’ with their creation of a Harry Potter sorting hat cake was the winner! Well done to all the teams.
Today, a letter has been sent (paper and email) to all parents in years 3,4,5 and 6 about the Brownlee Foundation Mini Triathlon Event. We took part last year and all children greatly enjoyed this fun event.
Please click on the link on the letter to give permission for your child to take part in the trip and to either give or decline photograph permission during the event. Please respond by Tuesday 3rd June.
After half term, there are lots of events and activities planned for all children and opportunities for parents to come into school. A reminder that sports day is on Thursday 12th June at 9.30am, with a reserve day of Monday 16th if it rains on the 12th. The Early Years Creativity Exhibition is planned for Wednesday 25th June and the KS2 Art Exhibition is planned for Wednesday 2nd July, both from 3pm. All parents and grandparents are invited to attend all of these events.
Please see attached flyers from the PTA about the PTA summer walk and barbeque taking place on Friday 4th July. Further information will follow after half term but for now, please save the date and please considering volunteering to help.
