On Tuesday, some of the children who have been attending after school drama club took part in the Wharfedale Festival of Performing Arts in Ilkley, and were successful! The whole group came third in the Choral Speaking competition and in the Duo Poems category, Freya and Harriet came first and Lucy and Ivy
came third! Well done children!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, drama club won’t take place on Tuesday 13th May but will return on Tuesday 20th May. All children in years 3,4, 5 and 6 are welcome to attend drama club. Please book as an after school club on Parent Pay.
Next week, the children in year 6 will be taking their KS2 SATs tests. The children are well prepared and are looking forward to the Askwith tradition of a continental breakfast each morning! Good luck children!
On Thursday 22nd May and Friday 23rd May, we have opportunities for all parents to come into school.

This event will be an opportunity for parents to view how maths is taught in the classrooms and how children can be helped at home.
Parents of children in years 3 and 4 are invited to Worksharing on Thursday 22nd May 2.30-3.00pm. This will be an opportunity for parents to view their child’s school books with them in the school hall.
