Last Friday, the PTA hosted two very successful Halloween discos! The children had a wonderful time. Thank
you to everyone who helped to make this event such a success. An amazing £530 was raised!
This week, we have welcomed Mr Percival and Mr Wright who are PGCE student teachers here on placement
from Leeds Beckett University, initially just one day per week. Do say hello if you see them.
This week, we held online parents’ appointments. I hope parents found these useful. If anyone missed their
appointment, please contact your child’s class teacher to make an alternative arrangement.

An updated ‘Dates for your diary’ for next half term, including the dates of the infant nativity and KS2 Pantomime, is
also attached.
A reminder that there will be a new menu after half term. Thank you to all those who used the survey to choose their child’s lunches.
Royal British Legion Poppies and other commemorative items will be on sale in school after half term until Friday 8th November. Suggested donations: traditional poppies 50p, zip pull £1, poppy reflector £1, silicon wristband £1, snap band £1.50.
A reminder to parents of children in years 3 and 4 that the first swimming lesson is Monday 4th November.
Please log into your Parent Pay account to give permission and make a payment if you have not already done so.
If you need help with Parent Pay, please contact the school office.
A reminder to parents of children in year 6 that the deadline to apply for a secondary school place is 31st
October. Applications are usually made online.
Finally, please can I ask that if you arrive early to drop your child off at 8.30am, please do not block empty carpark spaces on the village hall carpark. Thank you for your co-operation.
A reminder that we close tomorrow at the usual time for half term. I hope you all have an enjoyable half term
break, school reopens on Monday 4th November.
