The Early Years & KS1 Creativity Exhibition on Wednesday was wonderful.  It show cased the fantastic work that the children have undertaken throughout the year. Displays included African weaving, digital art inspired by Yayoi Kusama and nature art created on their Forest School Trip. A big thank you to Mr Morgan for playing some beautiful background music.

The second of the ‘Grow a Pound’ markets was also a great success! We had a variety of stalls including glitter face painting, plant and bun stalls and name the bear.

Please note the deadline to hand in all money raised for ‘Grow a Pound’ is tomorrow. If you haven’t taken part this year, please return your original pound to school. Many thanks for your support.

This morning, we all enjoyed our postponed Sports Day despite the windy conditions!  We are so proud of how the children  supported their friends racing, waiting patiently and quietly till the next race. PE sessions and playtimes have been spent practising hard for this, in particular how to balance a quoit on your head and an egg in the spoon! Thank you to the PTA for providing refreshments beforehand and a drink and biscuit afterwards for the children.

We are greatly looking forward to the PTA Walk and Barbeque tomorrow! As communicated earlier in the week, please note the following for the walk:

  • If your child is taking part in the walk, they may come to school on Friday in home / walking clothes / shoes. Please remember to send in sun hats, water bottles & sun cream. School bags etc may be left outside under the infant canopy to be collected after the walk, but school cannot accept any liability. It will not be possible to go back into school after the walk.
  • The walk commences at the end of school. Parents may start to gather in the playground from 3.15pm. Please park with consideration for the local residents. Dogs must not be brought into the playground.
  • If your child is not taking part in the walk, you may collect them between 2.45-3.00pm
  • Please inform Mrs Bentley if your child will not be travelling home on the school bus on Friday.
