A reminder about the Online Safety Information Evening taking place this evening, 6-7pm. See attached a flyer with further details and the Teams link.
Last week, the children in years 5 and 6 had an enjoyable trip to Leeds Art Gallery. The children created their own origami sketch books before becoming art detectives exploring the gallery. We even had time for some mindfulness in one of the interactive exhibitions.
On Tuesday, the children in Reception, years 1 and 2 went on their trip to the Broughton Estate.
The children learnt how to safely use the campfire to make garlic bread and s’mores, they used tools to make wands and swords and they even had a go on a mud slide! We all needed a change of clothes by the end of the day!
Next week, we are looking forward to our whole school careers afternoon. Thankyou to those who have already volunteered. If any other parent / grandparent would be willing to have a ’stand’ in the school hall on Wednesday 17th between 2-3pm and talk to the children about their occupation, it would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested, please contact Miss Brierley on obrierley.askwith@ycatschools.co.uk.
On Tuesday 23rd June, we have the first of our ‘Grow a Pound’ markets from 3pm. (Second market on Wednesday 1st July). There are 2 stalls remaining for the 23rd June and 6 stalls remaining for the 1st July. If you would like to book a stall, please email askwith@ycatschools.co.uk.
As per the email sent out earlier in the week, if you would like to promote your child’s stall in the Grow a Pound Newsletter for either market, please email obrierley.askwith@ycatschools.co.uk, by 3pm tomorrow. Please include a short summary of their enterprise, along with any photos, QR codes,
website links, or other information you would like us to include. Thankyou for your support with this fundraising challenge!
Flyers with QR codes from Tempest Photographers were sent home last week. Please check your child’s bag and place orders for class photos on line by Sunday 14th June.
We are greatly looking forward to the Otley Carnival Parade on Saturday 20th June. Tomorrow, the children will take part in a craft afternoon to make accessories to enhance the walking float.
