On Tuesday, the children in year 6 went to Crucial Crew. This is an interactive event in whichchildren engage in a range of safety scenarios including fire, water, rail, and online safety and the risks of smoking and vaping.
The KS2 Art Exhibition on Tuesday was a great success. The children are extremely proud of their work. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to support this event and gave such wonderful feedback. A video of the exhibition will be added to the website.
The first of the ‘Grow a Pound’ markets was a great success! Thankyou to everyone who had a stall or spent money at the stalls to help grow the £’s! The next ‘school market’ is on Wednesday 1st July at 3pm. There are still a few stalls remaining; to book please contact askwith@ycatschools.co.uk.
If you have finished ‘Growing your Pound’ or are not taking part this year, please return the money you have raised (together with your form) or your original £1 to school asap so the PTA can start counting. Many thanks for your support. A spare copy of the form is being sent home today.
The Early Years & KS1 Creativity Exhibition is also taking place on Wednesday 1st July at 3pm, all welcome!
Due to the current hot weather, we made decision the to postpone Sports Day until Thursday 2nd July. A text will be sent out to confirm once we have checked the weather forecast. It is due to start at 9.30am and will last approximately 1 hour. All children will be involved. The nursery children will take part in the first race then be taken back into their classroom. Please be aware that a couple of houses in Askwith are currently being refurbished resulting in lots of vans parking in the
village. If you are coming to watch, please allow time to park with consideration for the local residents.
