Well done to all those who took part in the Nell Bank cross country relays on Saturday! A particular well done to Thomas and Katrina, who have now been entered into the Bradford Inter League following their success in the Wharfedale League! Cross country will return for all children in the autumn term.
The children in years 5 and 6 were very excited when they departed for their residential to Boggle Hole youth hostel in Whitby yesterday morning. As well as the beautiful sunshine, they have enjoyed fossil hunting on the beach, a pirate party and delicious food. Today, they will be enjoying fun activities in the woods.
We are currently planning class trips for all the other children, dates and information to follow.
Tomorrow, we will be holding a bun sale to raise money for the Red Nose Day charities. Home made or shop bought cakes can be brought into school tomorrow morning and will be sold for 20p each. Any remaining cake will be sold at pick up time in the playground. **Please do not send in items containing nuts or Nutella.**
Tomorrow, we will be saying goodbye to the student teacher, Mr Myerscough, who has been working with years 1 and 2 since January. He will be missed. We wish him all the best for the next stage of his degree.
The Design Technology Challenge this year is to design a speed awareness safety sign to remind drivers of speed limits past school. Next week, children will be given a template and time in class to plan their designs.
Your support in helping your child complete their design at home is greatly appreciated. All entries should please be brought into school on Thursday 3rd April for judging.
