The children performed in the annual Askwith's Got Talent show to end the school year.

Well done children!

Reception and KS1 trip to Harlow Carr

Reception, Years 1 and 2 enjoyed their trip to Harlow Carr where they explored the woodland, identifying plants and trees matched to the science curriculum. Year 1 and 2 planted calendula seeds and Reception planted peas, which will all come home today. Throughout the day, several members of the public stopped us to comment on the exceptional behaviour of the children.

KS2 Art Exhibition

KS2 held their annual Art Exhibition this week. The children's work was absolutely fantastic.

There was a wide range of techniques on display, which demonstrated how hardworking and talented our children are.

Thank you to all of the parents and carers who came to view their child's work.

Otley Carnival - runners up!

Thank you to all of the children and parents who took part in the Otley Carnival on Saturday! We all had a wonderful time representing the school as flowers, bees and beekeepers - the home-made costumes were fantastic!

Thank you to the PTA who came into school with all of the resources to make the headdresses with the children.

We were thrilled to be awarded the 'Runner-up' prize in the 'Walking Schools' category.

Sports Day

The children had a great time at Sports Day! They enjoyed the three-legged race, hurdles, relays and beanbag balances. We all loved watching the parents taking part in sack races too!

Thank you to the PTA who organised refreshments for the children and bacon sandwiches for the adults!

Outdoor time

The children have been thoroughly enjoying the beautiful weather by spending their playtimes in the field. Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2 have been playing together and this has prepared them for their transitions.

We all had a great time on Outdoor Classroom Day. Each class had a packet of wildflower seeds to mark the King's Coronation - we are looking forward to seeing the results soon! Class 1 planted sunflowers, beans and tomatoes.

A huge 'congratulations' to the children who attend drama club for their wonderful performances in the Wharfedale Festival of Performing Arts.

World Book Day

All of the children dressed up as their favourite book character and enjoyed the World Book Day Parade!

The children also took part in a 'book swap'. They wrapped up a book and wrote a short blurb for someone else to choose to avoid 'judging a book by its cover'.

Fire Service Visit

The local fire service visited school to talk to the children all about fire safety and the role of the fire service in our local community.

The children were very excited to learn about all of the different equipment on board the fire engine and watch demonstrations. They were also able to explore the inside of the fire engine.

We are delighted and very proud to announce the result of the Ofsted Inspection that took place in November 2022.

We are ‘Outstanding’!
