Training and Support
At Askwith Primary School, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our practice to provide the best possible education for our children. This is why we feel that it is vital for teachers and teaching assistants to have an up-to-date understanding of how to work effectively with children. We strive to provide as many opportunities for staff to broaden and deepen their understanding through CPD.
We also provide opportunities to update parents on our curriculum, planning and teaching through holding after school meetings such as Curriculum Evenings and Phonics Evenings. Other opportunities include ‘Come and Read’ sessions for parents to observe how phonics and reading are taught in school.
