Healthy Food Workshop

The children worked hard to create some beautiful artwork for the phone box in Askwith! It looked amazing!

We had a wonderful time during our healthy food workshop with Beth from Phunky Foods. Our parents came to join their children to explore healthy foods. They made their own bagel faces, printed with fruit and vegetables and created healthy shopping lists.

Printing

The children used maps during Understanding the World. They were looking at their local area and practising using directions. In the EYFS playground, the children added different features to their maps. 

The children were using natural and man-made objects to create prints. They used a variety of techniques!

Bonfire Printing

Play-dough

Class 1 have been creating some fabulous Bonfire night inspired prints using recycled materials.

The children have been developing their play-dough skills by using objects to create printed patterns, piercing the play-dough and threading the play-dough onto spaghetti. 

Come and Read

Mud Kitchen

Thank you to all of the parents who came to 'Come and Read'! The parents observed a phonics lesson and they listened to Miss Brierley reading with their child. It was a fun and informative morning. 

The children in EYFS have been making cakes and potions in the mud kitchen! We were mixing, pouring, splashing and sharing.
