Nursery and Reception starters - September 2024
Are you interested in applying for a Nursery place for your child?
Children are able to join Askwith Primary School Nursery the term following their third birthday. The nursery is part of the school so is only open during school term times, term dates are on the school website.
We offer 30-hour places, or, if you are only eligible for 15 hours, further sessions can be purchased at £12 per 3 hour session. Children in our nursery can also attend our breakfast club, from 7.30am every morning, and after school clubs, until 6pm every evening. We are now taking bookings for the nursery for school years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026. We are an ‘Outstanding’ school (Ofsted November 2022) located in the beautiful village of Askwith, North Yorkshire. We are a friendly, welcoming school with small classes and dedicated staff.
Our phonics and KS2 SATS results are consistently above the national average. Our wrap around care is available from 7.30am until 6pm every day, is open to all children from nursery to year 6 on a ‘drop in’ basis, and is competitively priced.

Askwith Primary School is part of Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust, a multi Academy Trust for pupils from 3-11 years. Academies are their own admission authority and admissions to Askwith Primary School are co-ordinated by North Yorkshire Local Authority on behalf of the school.

September 2024 Admissions
Children enter the school in the September of the academic year in which they are five.
For school admissions information for September 2024, please see the guidance document below issued from North Yorkshire County Council.
The school's admissions number is 15.
If your local county council is not North Yorkshire, you will need to apply through your local county council (e.g. if you live in Otley, you will need to apply through Leeds City Council).
